In line with my duties being one of the welfare detectives, I chose to offer my voluntary service to a place where vulnerable children were given a chance to build their dreams and hopes in life. I visited the Fellowship for Organizing Endeavors Incorporated "FORGE",it conceptualized a program to support the education of about 200 sexually exploited children. Their local organization was called TEEN DREAMERS. When I got there I was a extremely amazed with the warm smiles of the children there, knowing that behind their sweet smile was a tragic experience. Nevertheless, I did my tutorial with these two girls, Jenny Carl and Johanna. Jenny Carl is the youngest among the rescued children in their organization she is already 6 years old and was not able to finish in grade one because she told me that it's about her cruel teacher that's why she no longer want to go back to school. But then when I started the lesson, I saw her willingness to learn, she already knew how to write her full name but she can't read yet. The other girl was Johanna she is already 13 years old and still in grade five. She ask me to help her with her math subject and with all my effort I tried my best to let her understand her lesson. After the tutorial, they also taught me on how to do origami,a traditional Japanese art of paper folding, Jenny Carl is really good in it and also Johanna. Afterwards I gave them snacks as a sign of thanks for their participation. I will always cherish those memories thank you so much kids.
