저희는 방을 청소하고, 손톱을 깍아드리고, 면도를 해드렸습니다. 
봉사활동을 하는 동안, 저희는 그들과 대화를 할 기회가 있었는데 그들 대부분이 가족에 의해서 버려진 것을 알게 되었습니다. 
그들은 Hope 선교회에서 머무르게 된 것에서 정말로 크게 감사하다고 말했습니다. 그들 중 대부분은 병을 앓았고 병원치료가 필요합니다. 저희는 그들의 눈에서 사랑과 돌봄의 갈구함을 보았습니다. 점심식사때 그들 중 대부분이 스스로 밥을 먹을 수 없기 때문에 그들을 도우면서 점심을 먹었습니다. 저희는 대부분 가족에게 그냥 버려진 그들에게서 불쌍함을 느꼈습니다. 저희들 모두가 저희의 부모가 늙게 되었을 지라도 그들을 존중하고, 섬기고, 그리고 사랑해야 된다는 것을 깨달았습니다. Hope 선교회의 노인분들과 그리고 오늘의 이 경험은 우리에게 많은 교훈을 주었습니다.

CHK detective’s volunteering activity ;

Doing a voluntary work is not just about the completion but it's all about our desire to help others. February 14, 2015 is known as the day of love, and yet we celebrated the sweetness of this day at the Missionaries of Hope, Uldog St. Poblacion Talisay City with the elderly and the disabled children together. As what we have planned to do, we, the scholars of Chain of Hope, Korea reached out to the elders and the special children. we helped them in cleaning their rooms, cutting their nails, and even shaving their beards. While doing so, we had the chance to talk to them and we found out that most of them were left by their own families. They said that it was a really great help for them to be sheltered at the Missionaries of the poor. Most of them have serious illnesses and aside from medical necessities, we also saw in their eyes that they were longing for love, care, and seeking much attention specially with age. During lunch time, we also had the chance to assist them while eating lunch because some of them could not feed themselves. We felt pity for those who were just left by their families with not knowing their situations. All of us realized that we should value, respect, and love our parents even though they they would become old. The elderly at the Missionaries of Hope and today's experiences gave us a lot of lessons to us.
